I go back to March 2018 on a trip in the Red Sea....
(Alfonso): "Karlos, why don't you write a book of your experiences and adventures with sharks?"
(Karlos): "I would love to, but I don't have the time nor do I know how to write well."
(Alfonso): "I have time now and I am a writer, shall we try?"
So began the story of my book "TRATANDO DE TIBURONES CON KARLOS SIMÓN", a dream that has come true thanks to the pen of the novelist Alfonso Mateo-Sagasta and Jesús Egido, owner of the publishing company Reino de Cordelia.
Alfonso has reconstructed my 30 years of diving with sharks in a literary journey illustrated with many photographs of my dives with sharks. Why and where I started diving, when I saw my first shark, complicated situations I have had while diving, how I started in the tonic immobility, my 12 hours record, shark situation, how many species of sharks I have dived with, travel adventures and much more, is what you will be able to read in our book.
