MY ROLE IN RTVE'S HUNDIDOS SERIES

I will always be grateful to Robert Fonollosa (Zona Mixta), director and executive producer of HUNDIDOS. First for having such a brilliant idea and second for giving me the opportunity to participate in it. For a diver like me, a lover of sharks and wrecks, it has been a unique opportunity to show the viewer part of the treasures in our seabed, in this case... wrecks ships.

Building my own team of divers, organizing the dives with them and also presenting the series, has been a source of pride as well as a reward for my 25 years as a professional in the diving industry. No doubt I would have liked to contribute some ideas in the script, editing and perhaps something else, but with the great professionals that the production company has in these fields, it was not possible, besides, as they say: "Shoemaker to your shoes", in this case, "Karlos to your fins".

Each one with his mission in the series, the truth is that it was about time that something diving was produced for television: to look for sunken ships. Speaking of searching, when in the program I speak or we speak of searching for a wreck, I mean or we refer to search for it, or rather, to find it again with almost our own means. I say almost because initially we always have some coordinates given to us by fishermen, the Navy or diving centers. From there, with the GPS and the probe we try to find it again. Sometimes, even so, it is not easy to find it and, as has happened in some chapters, we have had to ask for help even from the discoverers of the ship.

With more difficult or easier searches and with dozens of more or less complicated situations that can occur in a production like this, it has been a pleasure to participate in HUNDIDOS, highlighting undoubtedly the great moments we have spent recording it.

I hope that many people like it, or will continue to like it, and that on Sunday afternoons, at about seven o'clock, they will stay on La2 of RTVE to watch our program: HUNDIDOS.
