Our expedition takes place on two islands:
– Grand Bahama, specifically in the northern part. One of the most iconic of this area is the immersion in "Tiger Beach", home of the tiger shark.
– Bimini, west zone. One of the best places in the world to dive with the giant hammerhead shark.
Itinerary for our Bahamas Diving Expedition: Tiger Sharks and Giant Hammerheads
Day 14 – Arrival in Miami and boarding
Our diving trip to the Bahamas begins with our arrival in Miami. From there, we will transfer to Palm Beach, where we will board between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The crew and equipment will welcome us on board as we prepare to set sail for one of the most exciting diving destinations in the world.
Día 15 – Rumbo a Gran Bahama: primer encuentro con los tiburones tigre
At dawn, we will set sail for Grand Bahama. After passing through customs, we will go on our first dives. Grand Bahama is famous for its encounters with majestic tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier), an experience that attracts divers from all over the world. We will spend the day enjoying exciting dives in areas where these impressive animals patrol the shallow waters.
Day 16 – Full day of diving with tiger sharks
Today we will immerse ourselves fully in the world of tiger sharks. We will make several dives at Tiger Beach and other nearby areas, where these magnificent predators approach with elegance and majesty. A unique opportunity to experience one of the most intense and memorable diving encounters up close.
Day 17 – Exploring the reefs and more encounters with tigers
We continue exploring the vibrant reefs of Grand Bahama, home to incredible marine biodiversity. We will alternate dives in pristine coral reefs with new experiences alongside tiger sharks and other species such as lemon sharks, nurse sharks, and Caribbean reef sharks.
Day 18 – Last dives in Grand Bahama
One last day to make the most of this unique spot for shark diving. In addition to tiger sharks, we will be able to observe eagle rays, giant groupers, and colourful schools of tropical fish. At the end of the day, we will prepare our equipment for our next adventure: Bimini.
Day 19 – Crossing to Bimini
We will set sail in the afternoon/evening for Bimini, a hidden gem in the Bahamas famous for its crystal clear waters and for being one of the best places in the world for diving with giant hammerhead sharks.Sphyrna mokarran).
Day 20 – Diving with giant hammerhead sharks in Bimini
Arrival in Bimini and a day dedicated to diving in search of the impressive giant hammerhead sharks. These elegant and enigmatic animals are the absolute stars of the area during the high season. We will enjoy unforgettable dives surrounded by these sharks as they patrol the turquoise waters.
Day 21 – Last dives in Bimini
We continue with more dives in Bimini, combining close encounters with hammerhead sharks and explorations of reefs teeming with life. In the afternoon/evening, we will head back to Palm Beach, reminiscing about the incredible experiences we had underwater.
Day 22 – Disembarkation and return
After completing customs formalities in Palm Beach, we will disembark at 10:30 a.m. From there, we will transfer to the airport to catch our flight home, taking with us unforgettable memories of this shark diving expedition in the Bahamas.
Day 23 – Arrival at destination
The end of our adventure. See you on the next underwater expedition!
