Explore the Banda Sea, one of the most remote and spectacular diving destinations in Indonesia. Its crystal-clear waters are home to virgin reefs and underwater walls that descend to great depths, offering unforgettable encounters with hammerhead sharks, manta rays and schools of pelagic fish.
This little-explored underwater paradise is also home to corals in excellent condition and is a migration point for whales and dolphins, providing a unique diving experience.

IN OUR LIFE ABOARD WE WILL TRAVEL:
– BANDA SEA: in south-east Indonesia, it is surrounded by the islands of Maluku and Timor.
Famous for its marine biodiversity and underwater volcanoes, it is accessed from the city of Ambon, making it a remote and unique destination for lovers of deep-sea diving in crystal-clear waters.
BOAT – "THE FAMOUS ONDINA"
Sailing the inland seas of Indonesia from 2001, with the SMY Ondina you can enjoy the best scuba diving in this expedition. Enjoy the adventure aboard a classic schooner Buginesa, all of it built with traditional techniques in Tropical Woods, with capacity for up to 16 divers, with air conditioning and a private bathroom.
TRAVEL ITINERARY LIVEABOARD RAJA AMPAT
DAY 05: Departure flight.
DAY 06: Travelling day.
DAY 07: Arrival in Ambon and boarding. Check dive in Ambon Bay, at Pantai Nama or The Twilight Zone. Night sailing to the Banda Islands.
DAYS 8 AND 9: Three dives a day at Pulau Suanggi, the northernmost island of the Banda Islands. A group of submerged coral hills with perfect coral, lots of fish and common pelagic sightings. Night sailing to Pulau Manuk.
DAY 10: Dive around this small volcanic island with a colony of sea birds flying above. Under the water, several ridges show extraordinary coral reefs, populated by many sea serpents, with major fauna browsing around. During the night we sail to Nil Desperandum.
DAY 11: Full day of diving at Nil Desperandum, a patch of reef surrounded by deep water where schools of hammerhead sharks and other pelagic species are often seen. Sailing to Pulau Serua in the afternoon.
DAY 12: Full day of diving around Pulau Seruaagain one of the best places to see groups of hammerhead sharks. In the afternoon visit to the isolated village on the slopes of the volcano and night diving in one of the sheltered bays. Night sailing back to the group of the Band.
DAY 13: Full day of diving around Pulau Hatta and Karang Hattalocated in the southern part of the group, which consists of walls extraordinary caves and schools of fish. In the afternoon we sail to Bandaneiraprobably the natural harbor is most beautiful in Indonesia, followed by a dive with fish mandarin at sunset.
DAY 14: Cultural visit around Bandaneira, the heart of the Spice Islands: Fort Rotterdam, the House of Culture, the Governor's House and the nutmeg plantation. After the walk, dive in some of the famous sites such as Batu Kapal, Pohon Mirin or Lava Flows. In the evening, traditional dinner in a restored colonial house in Bandaneira.
DAY 15: Three dives a day in the walls of the other islands of the group Band: pulau Hatta and Run. During the night we sail to Nusa Laut.
DAY 16: Two dives in the morning at the famous Ameth's Knoll, a reef parallel to the coast that the locals have long protected to allow fish to spawn and spread to adjacent areas. In the afternoon I return to Ambon while preparations are made for departure the following morning.
DAY 17: Departure, transfer to the airport and return flight.
DAY 18: Arrival to destination.

TRIP CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT
- You can cancel the trip without penalty up to 120 days before departure of the flight.
- If you cancel between 119 and 60 days before departure of the flight, the penalty will be 50% of the total trip.
- If you cancel within 59 days before departure of the flight, the penalty will be 100% of the trip.
